28 September 2024 - Rotorua Rally
This will be a fun day event for a driver and a passenger and will be a navigation rally through the greater Rotorua area. I have a course and it's about 330km, there will need to be some thought into how to get a reliable resettable odometer on your Fraser. The route will be on paper so also how to contain/maybe keep dry that in your car. There will even be a few small prizes for some random to bethought of categories.
P.S Its not actually a rally rally it’s a fun rally so don’t let the rally part put you off. There should be almost no chance of getting your car dirty from dirt.
Please let Scott know if you plan to attend so he can try his best to organise this weekend. Contact Scott Tristram, Phone 021 995334, [email protected]
10 to 12 October 2024 - Coast to Cave
We are back for another adventure later this year with another edition of the Coast to Coast trips around the North Island. This year we are calling it the Coast to Cave.
Here is the rough plan so far.
Thursday 10th Oct 2024, Meeting in Bulls and driving though to Te Kuiti via SH4 .
Friday 11th Oct 2024, Travelling from Te Kuiti to New Plymouth via SH3.
Saturday 12 Oct 2024, Travelling home from New Plymouth
This won’t be a huge trip in terms of km travelled, but we plan to have time for plenty of stops on the way to see the sights including Waitomo Caves (for those that are keen). There is also plenty of opportunity for detours on the way so if you have anywhere you really want to visit let us know. For those coming from the upper half of the North Island there is the option to meet us in Te Kuiti and start your trip with us there, then on Saturday follow us back towards Whanganui in the morning then head back towards the centre of the Island via the amazing twists and turns of SH4.
Plan is to be home in time for Bathurst on Sunday and School/Work on Monday! If you plan on coming along let me know via email, also if you have any questions just let me know. [email protected]
Will put out more details when the plans and numbers firm up.
So far for accommodation we have booked the following because that is what works for us as a family, feel
free to book the same or explore your own options if you prefer.
